The settlement checker

The checker runs entirely in your browser. The answers you give, including sensitive ones such as immigration route, criminal record or debts, are never sent to us or to anyone else, and are not stored. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.

Technical data

Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We do not use this to identify individual visitors.

Advertising

This site does not currently set advertising cookies.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data through the checker, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you think we hold data about you, contact us and we will help. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
